"A thought re-visited"... I found a "hidden" page on my website tonight that I had written over a YEAR ago. I had made a "personal note" to myself-- so I wouldn't forget what I had thought of "that night", hahaha!! The *funny* thing is: I *DID* forget about it!! LOL!!! Until TONIGHT, when I noticed it "hid" among a thousand other pages I have "stored" on/for my website. But I found it very interesting ;) And I wanted to post it ("record it") here-- so I would ALWAYS have the opportunity to SEE what I had been thinking about so long ago-- BEFORE I had a commitment to "make my dream happen" :) Call me *CRAZY*... but here's what I thought (and I can't say my thinking has changed all that much! ;) ) ~
I just read something that made me think... if I were able to live in a (*cute*) little storage unit or cabin *DEBT FREE*, and I were "snowed in"... I would be very happy and content... IF "what"? If my belly was full!!! As long as one has food and water, one can usually be content... oh! AND HEAT. So... if I were to think about the very bare basics of sustainance-- for the freedom of just enjoying living life, WHAT would it be?
1. HEAT (enough wood to burn to keep warm)
2. Water (enough clean drinking & cooking water)
3. Basic Food (just to keep stomach full)
Next to that, a few little extras... enough water to bathe in and enough warm clothes to wear and blankets to sleep under. Extra food, if possible.... *WOW* That isn't REALLY all that much, when you strip down to minimal basics. Why can't we live like that?? Not be ruled by the demands of this culture and society. Sigh!!! :(
Basic Meal Plan
Breakfast: Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat (sugar, spice, butter, syrup, nuts, etc.)
Milk (or water)
Toast & Butter (or graham crackers/vanilla wafers)
*Once A Week: Eggs, Beef-Bacon/Turkey-Sausage, Bicuits & Gravy, Hashbrowns
Orange Juice
Lunch: ?
Supper: Soup or Beans
Potato Cakes/ Fried Potatoes
Cornbread/ Fried Cornbread
Milk (or water)
*Once A Week: Meat, Vegetables, Bread
Milk
Snack: *Popcorn!*

HaHaHa!! How's that for Living/THINKING simple?? ;D Pretty good, huh? Well, I KNOW that *I* would be *OK* with that-- but my FAMILY would NOT ;) SO... I suppose I'll have a little more when the time comes :) But the "idea" REMAINS the same for me-- SIMPLE and MODERATION. I've never been much for excessiveness, anyway! :D
