There's a couple of little things I wanted to jot down...
First, I did a little experiment with what will be our reality-- I measured off a 16 X 20 space in the double-wide we're living in to SEE *exactly* how much space we will probably have in our future little cottage/cabin home. I WISH I had taken pictures!! (WHAT'S wrong with me??) I moved all our furniture around to try to see what I could actually FIT (and keep)... and determine what will probably have to go. Believe it or not, it was SO MUCH FUN!!! I even measured out a spot for a woodstove :) (Why, oh, WHY didn't I take pictures?!) Even James and the boys seemed to enjoy it :) We kept it that way over night... but had to put everything back, because our landlord will be showing the double-wide for selling-- so it needs to look NORMAL (ha!ha!). I realized we will need to build on about 6 more feet to give enough space for a kitchen area... but that will also allow us to keep our table, too :) We WERE going to just eat on our coffee table (whatever works!). Anyway, it was a *neat* little experience :) (And a little more eye-opening)...
Secondly, I SAW a house built like the shed we've been looking at, and it had the porch on the "side" that I've been thinking I want to do, and an extra room built on one side (a bedroom for us and the bathroom). SO, it gave me the chance to actually SEE for REAL what it will look like! That was neat :) Unexpected and fun :)
Here's another shed video. This one has the stairs going in the same direction that the one we've been looking at does (of course it doesn't matter if you're not entering from the side that these two sheds do)...
